How do I choose the right style of panties for everyday wear?

For everyday comfort, cotton hipster, brief and hi-leg styles are popular as they offer good coverage and breathability. Seamless boyleg and hi-cut briefs sit smoothly under fitted clothes to avoid visible lines. Choose cotton for breathable daily wear, or seamless styles when you want a smooth look under leggings and dresses.

What's the difference between a hipster, boyleg, brief and hi-cut panty?

A hipster sits lower on the hips with medium coverage; a boyleg has a short-leg cut for more bottom coverage; a brief sits higher with full coverage; and a hi-cut rises high on the leg for a leg-lengthening look. Choose based on the coverage you want and how they sit under different outfits.

Why are cotton panties recommended for everyday wear?

Cotton is breathable and soft, which helps keep you comfortable and dry through the day, making cotton panties a practical everyday choice, especially in a warm climate. Seamless synthetic styles are smoother under tight clothing but less breathable. Many shoppers keep cotton for daily wear and seamless pairs for fitted outfits.

Are multipacks better value than single pairs?

Multipacks are a practical, cost-effective way to stock up on everyday essentials, giving you several pairs at once so you always have clean underwear between washes. They're ideal for basics in colours like black, white and grey. Buy a multipack for everyday wear and single pairs for specific needs like seamless or control styles.

Which panties are best to wear under leggings or a fitted dress?

Seamless boyleg and hi-cut briefs are best under leggings and fitted dresses because they have smooth edges that reduce visible panty lines. A no-show or seamless style keeps your outfit looking smooth. For loose clothing, comfort matters more than seams, so breathable cotton is a good everyday choice.

What is a control panty and who is it for?

A control panty has firmer, shaping fabric that gently smooths the tummy and hips, giving a streamlined look under fitted dresses and skirts. It suits anyone wanting light shaping for a special outfit or everyday smoothing. For all-day comfort choose a lighter control level; for events, firmer shaping gives more definition.

How should I wash panties to keep them hygienic and lasting?

Wash panties in warm or cool water and avoid very high heat, which can damage elastic over time. Washing underwear regularly and drying it fully keeps it hygienic. Air-drying helps preserve stretch and shape, while a gentle cycle protects seamless and lace styles. Follow the care label for the best results.

Are there breathable options for sensitive skin?

Yes — cotton and cotton-blend panties are the most breathable and gentle choice for sensitive skin, as they reduce moisture and irritation compared with fully synthetic fabrics. Look for a cotton gusset even on seamless styles. If you have sensitive skin, prioritise breathable cotton for everyday wear for the most comfort.

Can panties be returned if they don't fit?

For hygiene reasons, underwear such as panties usually cannot be returned once opened or tried on, so it's especially important to use the size guide before buying — check PEP's current returns policy for the exact conditions in-store or online. If a sealed multipack is unopened, ask about the returns terms that apply.
