Boys Jerseys & Rainjackets

PEP offers classic, snug-fitting school jerseys in deep navy, black, bottle green, and maroon that keep your boy warm without putting a chill on your wallet.

Yes, they are. Our jerseys are knitted from high-quality, low-pill acrylic yarn. This means they keep their shape, don’t bobble easily, and can be tossed right into the washing machine.

We do! Our lightweight, windproof, and water-resistant school rainjackets are perfect for those sudden South African downpours, keeping him dry on his walk to school.

A jersey keeps him warm on cold days, while a rain jacket keeps him dry walking to and from school in wet weather — they do different jobs, so many families buy both. If budget is tight, prioritise a jersey for daily warmth and add a rain jacket before the rainy season. Check your school's colour rules.

Yes! Our rainjackets are lightweight and fold up compactly, making them easy to slip into his school backpack so he’s always prepared for a change in the weather.

A jersey with a little growing room can last longer, and knit stretches to accommodate growth, so slightly roomy is fine. Avoid buying it very large, as long sleeves and a droopy fit look untidy and get in the way. Sleeves can be turned up for a term or two while he grows into it.

PEP stocks school jerseys in common colours such as navy, grey, maroon, green and black. The correct colour depends on your school's uniform code, so check the required shade before buying, especially as many schools are strict about the exact jersey colour. Buying the right colour first time avoids an unnecessary exchange.

Elbows and cuffs wear fastest, so wash gently, avoid rough surfaces, and don't tumble-dry on high heat, which breaks down fibres. Rotating between two jerseys, if budget allows, lets each recover and last longer. Choosing the correct size — not too tight — also reduces strain on the elbows and seams.
