Girls School Uniform - Skirts & Pants

PEP offers an amazing selection of school skirts, skorts, and smart school trousers in navy, black, and grey at the lowest prices.

Yes, many of our skirts and pants feature elasticated backs or adjustable waistbands to ensure a perfect, comfortable fit as your child grows.

Skirts are traditional and cooler in summer, while pants are warmer for winter and practical for active girls and colder areas. Buying both covers the whole year and gives choice on cold or active days. Check your school's rules, as some require skirts or pinafores and others allow pants.

Many schools require skirts around knee-length or below, so check your school's specific rule before buying and choose a length that will still be acceptable as your daughter grows taller. A skirt with a little length to let down, or buying slightly longer, helps it stay within the rules for longer.

Wash pleated skirts gently in cool water, hang or fold them carefully to keep the pleats, and iron on the correct setting following the care label. Avoid overloading the wash, which crushes pleats. Hanging skirts straight after washing and drying helps them keep a neat, pressed look for school.

Pants often stand up better to active play, climbing and colder weather, while skirts are cooler and traditional but can be less practical for very active girls. For an active child or a cold area, pants may last and suit better; for warm weather and formal codes, skirts work well. Many families keep both.

Two or three bottoms usually cover a school week with washing time, mixing skirts and pants to suit your climate and school rules. Rotating them reduces daily washing and spreads wear. In winter add enough warm pants; in summer, more skirts, depending on what your school allows and your daughter prefers.

Yes — PEP stocks girls' school bottoms in sizes from younger primary girls to older, taller high-schoolers, in skirts and pants. As girls grow quickly, check the size guide and skirt length each year. Buying the right size ensures a comfortable, neat fit that meets your school's uniform standards.
