Briefs, boxers or boxer briefs — which is right for me?

Choose briefs if you want close support and less fabric under fitted trousers, boxers if you prefer loose airflow and comfort, and boxer briefs if you want support plus leg coverage that stops chafing. Most men settle on one style they find comfortable and stick with it. Think about support versus airflow and whether inner-thigh chafing is an issue for you.

Which underwear stops chafing on hot days or when I walk a lot?

Boxer briefs with a snug fit and breathable or moisture-wicking fabric are best for stopping inner-thigh chafing, because the leg keeps skin from rubbing. Loose boxers can ride up and let skin rub on hot, active days. If chafing is a regular problem, a fitted boxer brief in breathable fabric is the fix.

Which underwear works best under fitted trousers or chinos so there's no line?

Boxer briefs or briefs in a smooth, close-fitting fabric sit flat under fitted trousers and chinos without showing a line, while loose boxers can bunch and show through. A seamless or microfibre style is smoothest under slim trousers. For a clean look under smart clothes, choose a fitted, smooth style.

Cotton or microfibre — what's the real difference day to day?

Cotton is soft, breathable and best for everyday all-day comfort; microfibre is smooth, quick-drying and better for sport, travel or a no-line look under fitted trousers. Cotton can stay damp after heavy sweating, where microfibre dries faster. Choose cotton for daily comfort and microfibre for active or smart-dress days.
