Men's Slippers

Sole grip varies by style, so for smooth tiled or wooden floors check the details for a rubber or textured sole, which grips far better than a soft fabric sole. A gripped sole is much safer on slippery surfaces, especially for older family members. If safety on hard floors matters, choose a firmer, textured sole.

Slip-on (mule) slippers are quick and easy to step in and out of; closed-back slippers cover the heel for more warmth and a more secure fit that won't slide off. Choose slip-ons for convenience and closed-back for warmth and stability, especially on stairs or slippery floors. Closed-back is the safer, warmer option.

Choose your usual shoe size for a snug, secure fit, or size up slightly only if you'll wear thick socks with them. Check the size guide, as some run small or large. A secure fit is safer on smooth floors than oversized slippers that slide, so avoid going too big.

Slippers are a cosy, appreciated gift that suits most people, but you'll need the person's shoe size for a good fit, so it's less foolproof than a one-size item. A neutral colour and a warm lining make a safe choice, and sizing to their usual shoe size is best. Keep the slip for exchanges.

Slippers are warmer and cosier for cold floors and winter, while lighter indoor sandals are more breathable for warm weather. Choose slippers for warmth and comfort in winter and indoor sandals for hot days. Many people keep both and switch by season, especially with cold winter floors.

PEP accepts returns and exchanges in line with its current returns policy, so you can take slippers back if the fit isn't right — check the latest policy and time frame in-store or online before buying, and try them indoors on a clean floor to keep them unworn where required. Keep your till slip or proof of purchase.
