Definitely. Our standard-sized school backpacks are spacious enough to easily fit large folders, ring binders, textbooks, and homework diaries.

Avoid overloading the bag past its limit, encourage your child to carry it using both shoulder straps to distribute weight evenly, and clean up spills inside quickly.

Look for wide, padded shoulder straps, a padded back panel and ideally a chest strap, which spread the weight and keep the bag close to the body. Worn on both shoulders and packed sensibly, these features reduce strain on a growing back. Check the product details for padding and strap features before buying.

A full backpack should be as light as possible and worn on both padded straps to protect your child's growing back. Encourage packing only what's needed each day, keeping heavy items close to the back. Wide straps and a padded back help, but sensible packing matters most for avoiding strain.

Medium and large backpacks are generally sized to fit A4 books, files and a lunchbox, while small backpacks suit little ones with fewer items. Check the listed dimensions against your child's books and lunchbox before buying. Choosing the right size means everything fits without forcing zips or overloading the bag.
