Are sandals comfortable enough for walking a lot, or just for lounging?

Sandals with a cushioned footbed and adjustable straps are comfortable for walking and being out, while flip-flops give little support and are better for short trips and relaxing. For a day of walking, choose supportive strappy sandals rather than flip-flops. The footbed and straps are what make the difference over distance.

How do I get the right size so my foot doesn't hang off the edge?

Your foot should sit fully on the footbed without toes or heel hanging over, and the straps should hold it securely without pinching, so check the size guide and measure your foot. If between sizes, adjustable straps give a better, safer fit. A foot hanging off the edge is both uncomfortable and a trip risk.

Which are safe to wear in water at the beach or pool?

Rubber or synthetic flip-flops and water-friendly sandals are best for water because they rinse clean, dry fast and handle salt and chlorine, while fabric or suede-look sandals should be kept away from water as they stay wet and can be damaged. For wet areas, choose a rubber or synthetic pair.

Adjustable straps or slip-on — which is better for me?

Adjustable-strap sandals let you fine-tune the fit for comfort and security, which suits walking and wider or higher feet; slip-on sandals and flip-flops are quicker and easier for casual, short use. Choose adjustable for a secure walking fit, slip-on for convenience around the house or pool.

I have wide feet — which sandals will actually be comfortable?

Adjustable-strap sandals suit wide feet best because you can loosen the straps across the foot, and a roomier footbed stops the edges digging in — check any width note in the details. Fixed flip-flops with a set toe-post are less forgiving on wide feet. For width, adjustable straps are the comfortable choice.
