Tables & Chairs

They are designed to be perfectly stable for light-to-medium everyday tasks such as holding a plate, drinks, or for a child's homework. Ensure the locking mechanism or hinge is fully engaged (clicked into place) before placing anything on the table for maximum stability. Never lean heavily on a foldable table, as the primary use is for temporary, light activities.

Yes, the strings are essential for securely tying the pad to the chair back or rungs, preventing it from slipping off when you sit down or stand up. Look for pads made with a non-slip base material, which provides extra friction against a smooth wooden or plastic seat surface. Always check the diameter or width of your chair seat against the pad size to ensure a perfect fit and prevent shifting.

Use it to display a single, non-cluttered arrangement, a small stack of books, a coaster, and a single decorative element like a small plant or vase. Since it has a built-in magazine rack, use it to store one or two current magazines or remotes, keeping the tabletop clear for practical use. The top of a side table should never look crowded; leave most of the surface empty for a cup of coffee or a cellphone.

Metal side tables with a powder-coated or painted finish are generally suitable for covered patios, but not for direct, continuous exposure to rain. To prevent rust, wipe down any standing water immediately after rain and ensure the table legs are not sitting directly in a puddle. If the paint scratches, use a touch-up paint immediately to seal the exposed metal and prevent rust formation.

A Round Side Table is one permanent, standalone piece for placing next to a couch. A Nesting Set consists of 2-3 tables of varying sizes that tuck into one another. Nesting tables are better for small spaces, as they offer three surfaces for entertaining but only take up the floor space of the largest table. Choose a Nesting Set if you occasionally need extra table space for guests, but a single Round Table if you only need one fixed spot.

A TV tray is structurally sound for holding a standard meal plate, a light laptop, or a book, which is approximately 5-7kg of weight. It should never be used as a step stool or a surface for very heavy items like a large TV or multiple large textbooks. Always ensure the legs are fully splayed out on a flat, even surface (not a thick rug) to prevent accidental tipping.

Continuous exposure to the intense South African sun will cause any fabric to fade over time. To slow the fading, store the chair pads indoors or under a cover when they are not being used for extended periods. Swap the pads around on the chairs every few weeks to ensure they fade evenly and don't create noticeable differences.

Ideally, the height of the tabletop should be equal to, or no more than 5cm higher than, the arm of your couch or chair. This ensures you can comfortably reach your drink or phone without stretching too far up or down. Use the height of your couch armrest as the best guide for choosing the perfect side table height.

No, these tables typically feature a durable, high-quality, high-gloss laminate or sticker finish designed to replicate the appearance of real marble. This material makes the table extremely lightweight, easier to clean, and much more affordable than heavy, genuine marble. Use a window cleaner or glass cleaner on the faux marble top for a sparkling, streak-free finish.

Small side tables are excellent as bedroom nightstands, as end tables next to a couch, or as plant stands in a sunny window corner. Because they are light, they can be easily moved to function as an extra surface when entertaining guests in a limited space. A Round Side Table is perfect for holding a lamp, phone, and a glass of water next to the bed.
