Women's Swimwear

A one-piece (or swimsuit) offers more coverage and support, and is practical for swimming, activity and a smoother look. A bikini or two-piece gives flexibility to mix sizes for top and bottom and is easy for tanning and warm days. Choose a one-piece for coverage and support, or a bikini for versatility and a lighter feel.

Swimwear should feel snug but not tight, with straps that stay put and bottoms that don't dig in or gape. If you're between sizes or need more bust support, size up on the top. Buying a two-piece lets you match different sizes for top and bottom.

Swimsuits and secure two-pieces suit swimming as well as the beach and poolside, while looser or tie styles are better for lounging and tanning. For active swimming, choose a one-piece or a well-fitted bikini with supportive straps. Check that the fit feels secure before you buy if you plan to swim regularly.

A cover-up is a light layer, such as a tie-waist dress or kaftan, worn over swimwear when you leave the water or walk to and from the beach or pool. It offers modesty and sun protection without changing fully. It's a practical, versatile add-on if you want to move between swimming and other activities comfortably.

High-waisted and fuller-cut bikini bottoms offer more coverage and tummy support, while lower-cut styles show more skin. High-waisted styles are popular for comfort and a flattering, secure fit. If coverage and support matter to you, choose a high-waisted bottom; for a minimal look and even tanning, a lower cut works.

Rinse swimwear in cool, fresh water after swimming to remove chlorine, salt and sunscreen, which can damage the fabric. Hand-wash gently, avoid wringing, and dry it flat in the shade rather than in direct sun or a tumble dryer. This helps keep the stretch, colour and shape for longer.

The range includes one-pieces for coverage and support, high-waisted two-pieces for tummy support, and mix-and-match tops and bottoms so you can size each part to your shape. For more bust support, choose a style with wider or adjustable straps. Check the product details to match the style to your support and coverage needs.

Swimwear is easiest to find in spring and summer when the range is widest, but it's worth buying ahead if you have a holiday or warm getaway planned. Availability can be seasonal, so if you see a style and size that fits well, it's sensible to buy it rather than wait, as ranges change through the year.

When trying on swimwear, keep your own underwear on underneath for hygiene, as most stores require. This lets you check the fit, coverage and support safely before buying. If you prefer to decide at home, buy your usual size using the size guide and keep tags and hygiene strips in place until you're sure.

PEP accepts returns in line with its current returns policy, though for hygiene reasons swimwear usually must be unworn with tags and any hygiene strip still attached — check the latest conditions in-store or online before buying. Keep your proof of purchase, and try swimwear on over underwear to keep it returnable.
