Do tees shrink after washing — should I size up?

Cotton tees can shrink slightly in a hot wash, especially the length, so if you like a longer or more relaxed fit it's worth choosing your usual size and washing cold rather than sizing up and hoping. Blends with some polyester shrink less. Washing in cold water and air-drying keeps the fit you bought it at.

Which tee won't show sweat marks in the heat?

Sweat marks show most on grey and light colours and least on black, white and busier prints. A breathable cotton or moisture-wicking fabric in a slightly looser fit also lets air move and dries faster, so you stay drier through a hot day. If sweat patches are a worry for work or an event, black or white is the safest choice.

I've got broad shoulders and a slimmer waist — tees always feel tight up top or baggy at the bottom. What works?

Look for a regular or classic fit rather than a slim cut, which pulls across the shoulders and chest. A tee that's roomy enough at the shoulders will usually sit fine at the waist, and a slightly heavier fabric drapes better than clingy thin cotton. Check the chest measurement on the size guide rather than sizing on the waist.

Crew neck or V-neck — which suits me better?

A crew neck suits almost everyone and layers neatly under shirts and jerseys, making it the safe everyday choice. A V-neck opens the neckline, which can balance a rounder face or fuller build and looks slightly dressier worn alone or under an open shirt. If you're unsure, start with crew necks and add a V-neck for variety.
