Hisense Cellphones

Hisense phones at PEP are among the most affordable, starting from around R279 for a basic feature phone and going up to about R1,999 for a mid-range smartphone like the H72 Pro. Pricing depends on whether you choose a feature phone or smartphone and on the storage size. This makes Hisense a strong choice on a tight budget.

Choose a Hisense feature phone (like the U-series) if you mainly need calls, SMS and long battery life at the lowest price. Choose a Hisense smartphone (like the E, T or Enigma range) if you want WhatsApp, social media, a camera and apps. Smartphones cost a little more but do far more for everyday use.

Yes. Hisense smartphones such as the E35, T2 and Enigma handle WhatsApp, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and banking apps for everyday use. For smoother performance, pick a model with 64GB or more storage. These phones are built for affordable, reliable communication rather than heavy gaming or video editing.

Hisense phones range from 8GB or 16GB on feature phones up to 64GB, 128GB or 256GB on smartphones like the H72 Pro. For WhatsApp, photos and apps, 64GB is a comfortable everyday choice. Many Hisense smartphones also accept a microSD card, so you can add more space affordably later if you run out.

A Dual SIM Hisense phone, such as the Enigma SE or U608, lets you use two SIM cards in one phone. This is useful if you want one SIM for calls and another for cheaper data, or to keep work and personal numbers separate. It saves you from carrying two phones and helps you spend less on airtime and data.

Most Hisense phones at PEP work on all major South African networks — Vodacom, MTN, Telkom and Cell C — so you can use your preferred SIM and airtime deal. Some units may be network-branded, so check the product page before buying. If you plan to switch networks later, an Any Network phone gives you the most freedom.

For a child or elderly relative, a basic Hisense feature phone (U-series) is simple, affordable and has long battery life, making it easy to use for calls and SMS. If they need WhatsApp to stay in touch, an entry-level smartphone like the E35 is a low-cost option that is still easy to learn.

Hisense feature phones offer very long battery life and can last several days on a charge, which suits buyers who cannot charge often. Smartphones like the T2 or Enigma typically last a full day of normal use. For the longest battery life on a budget, a feature phone is the most reliable choice.
