Citrus

Citrus phones are all about giving you the best possible value at the lowest price! They are incredibly durable, highly affordable, and perfect for everyday calls and texts. If you want to keep your family safely connected without spending a fortune, Citrus is a fantastic, reliable choice.

Yes! Many of our Citrus models, like the popular Citrus L05, feature Dual SIM capabilities. This is incredibly resourceful because it allows you to use two different networks on one device—helping you take advantage of the best data and call rates from different providers at the same time.

One of the best things about Citrus feature phones is their amazing battery life! Because they don't run heavy apps, a single charge can easily last for several days of normal standby and talk time. No need to worry about load-shedding cutting off your connection with your loved ones!

Standard Citrus feature phones (keypad models) are designed for calls, SMSs, and basic FM radio, meaning they do not support heavy smartphone apps like WhatsApp. If WhatsApp is a must-have for school or work, we suggest looking at our range of affordable Citrus smart-entry devices or other entry-level smartphones at PEP.

We keep things simple and ready to use! In the box, you will find your brand-new Citrus phone, a rechargeable battery, a charger, and a user manual to help you set up quickly and easily.

Citrus phones are generally sold unlocked to work on South African networks with your SIM, but check the specific model's lock status and SIM size against your current SIM before buying. Confirm the SIM fit and lock status so it works on your network.

Entry-level phones often have modest built-in storage, so check the specific Citrus model's storage and whether it takes a memory (microSD) card to expand cheaply for photos, WhatsApp media and apps. Expandable storage is the affordable fix. Check the storage and memory-card support before buying for lots of media.

A Citrus smartphone with a current-enough operating system and enough storage should run everyday apps like WhatsApp and banking, but very basic models may not, so check the model supports the apps you need before buying. Confirm app compatibility if those are essential. Choose a smartphone model and check app support for banking and WhatsApp.

An affordable Citrus phone makes a practical first phone, and a basic model limits distractions while a simple smartphone allows WhatsApp if you want that — add a case and screen protector to help it survive. Choose the model by what access you want your child to have. A budget-friendly, protected Citrus phone suits a first phone.

Check what's included with the specific model — most phones include a charger and cable, but confirm before buying so you're not caught short, and note the cable type (such as micro-USB or USB-C) for future replacements. Knowing the connector helps you buy spare cables. Confirm the in-box accessories and cable type.
