How To Apply For A Donation

The Process:

  • Read and accept the criteria and guidelines.
  • Complete application form.
  • PEP evaluates application forms and contact successful applicants.
  • Applications will be evaluated during the months of January, May, August and November.

Criteria and information:

  • PEP will only consider requests which are focused on education or disaster relief.
  • Donations are given in the form of PEP vouchers only, no cash donations are given.
  • Applications will only be accepted via the website.
  • School and/or registered NPOs may apply.
  • For NPOs an NPO number and NPO certificate are necessary.
  • The organisation needs to submit a valid B-BBEE certificate that states the % black South African beneficiaries or a police stamped Affidavit (EME or QSE) will be sufficient. The certificates must be dated within the current financial year. Please download the templates below if needed.

  • The organisation must have been in existence for at least 12 months.
  • The organisation has to be based in South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia or Swaziland.
  • PEP does not:
  1. Provide funds to organisations that are directly associated with a single religion or culture.
  2. Sponsor any sport related activities, tours or events.
  3. Give grants to individuals.
  4. Guarantee that all applications will be successful or that an organisation will be assisted on more than one occasion.
  • An organisation can only apply once a year.
  • Deadlines for applications: 30 January, 30 May, 30 August, 30 October
  • Should you not hear from us by the end of February, June, September and November, please consider your application to be unsuccessful.
  • PEP requests a thank you letter and a Tax Section18A certificate from the organisation should the application be successful.
  • Due to the large volume of applications, no correspondence via telephone, fax, post or email will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
