How to apply:

Take your SA ID book or ID card and cell phone number to your nearest PEP Stores

The cashier will ask you to enter 4-digit pin number in store. This is a number of your choice.

The cashier will give you the cash slip containing your withdrawal number

Send the receiver the 10-digit withdrawal number and the 4-digit pin and tell them how much money you have sent.

The money can now be collected at any Shoprite, Checkers, USave or ABSA ATM

How to send money:

  • Dial *120*542# to start creating your order
  • Add the receiver’s details (First name, Last name, Cell phone number)
  • Select the receiver from the list that is created
  • Put in the amount you would like to send
  • You will receive a SMS with a Pay@ number
  • Make the payment:
  • Bring the correct amount and your Pay@ number to any PEP Stores
  • Your cell phone number will be your reference number
  • Cell phone and internet payments are also accepted – no cash deposits at the bank
  • Your order is valid for 24 hours
  • Transfer the exact amount as in your order
  • Your money will arrive in Zimbabwe within 30 minutes
  • Money arrives:
  • In Zimbabwe, MamaMoney’s partner is CABS Bank
  • Get a CABS Textacash card
    • Card can be collected before or after the money is sent
    • Go to any CABS branch or agent
    • Bring an identity document
    • The card is free and no reference is required

    • At the branch, fill in the form. This will take about 2 minutes
    • Link the card to your phone via mobile sign-up. This will take about 30 seconds
