Christmas in July

This week PEP created a festive spirit when it donated products to the Neonatal ward at Groote Schuur Hospital. The donation includes baby blankets, baby clothing, nappies, towels, blankets & bedding, small appliances such as – irons, sandwich toasters, hi-fi, desk fan, mini oven and more.

Pep also re-painted the ward, hung new curtains to brighten up its look and feel and framed the artwork supplied by the school – 10 paintings were donated by Mikro Primary School. Two teams from PEP’s Baby and Marketing Department also cleaned the ward. The Groote Schuur Neonatal ward logo and posters of Breast feeding, Sterilization, Kangaroo Mother care as well as the Family Anagram were designed, printed and sponsored by PEP’s advertising agency, Zoom were also donated. The posters will be used in Groote Schuur maternity, neonatal and the Kangaroo Mother care wards as well as in hospitals where the head of Kangaroo Mother care is involved.
 
In the future, the Neonatal ward will receive a hamper of 50 receiver blankets as well as some other baby products from PEP every three months.
