Corporate Social Investment

• PEP has increased its commitment to corporate social investment (CSI), so that it may give back to the communities it serves.
• PEP’s flagship CSI project focuses on education and on keeping children at school.
• PEP opened eight learner centres - The Student Prince Academy - four in Gauteng and two each in Western Cape and Kwa Zulu Natal. These academies offer a safe, comfortable and appealing environment for Grade 4 children. They are given extra support and tutoring in the building blocks of education – literacy and numeracy – as well as tutored assistance with their homework. 
• PEP also donates employee time and financial aid to help children develop skills and self-esteem.
• Each PEP region has its own CSI budget in order that support may be given at a local level.
• PEP has adopted three schools close to its Head Office in Parow, Cape Town.
